I love to be creative. I love to craft. Unfortnately, I don't do much of it anymore for a couple of reasons:
1. Time
2. I have no where to do it
Occasionally I will drag out a few little things to do some crafts. For example, I made this when Vaughn was selected as "Star of the Week" at school:
I made this awesome little thank you gift I found in another blog for Vaughn's teacher for Teacher Appreciation Week:
I also do little things like bake goodies and put them in little baggies with ribbons and custom tags, and of course, I love plotting and planning for birthday parties and gatherings in general. I think I would do much more crafty things if I had a little area to myself where I could store all of my stuff (other than in my closet and random drawers and hiding places around the house) that was accessible to where the craftiness would take place. One of the major deterants for me now is the fact that when I do drag all of my crafting junk out, it creates a huge mess, takes over my kitchen and Vaughn LOVES to "help" which only adds to the choas.
I want something like this:
The room formerly known as our dining room currently serves as Rich's office. If I remove a shelf, there would be space for something similar to this. I could store my crafty things there, have a place to do crafty things (or worky things on my laptop) and wouldn't have to drag out and pack up everything all the time. It would be wonderful!!! I could get back to doing more...being creative again, which I so desperately need to do. For me, creativity is such an outlet for so many things. You've got to get it out somewhere!!!
